Which coating/finish is best for my project?
A matte laminate might be used in a courtroom, for presentations, or were there might be intense lighting. Most point-of-purchase materials and special event posters utlize gloss finish to get attention with vibrant colors that "Pop" off the substrate.
Gloss finish have a tendency to enhance (make brighter or more vibrant) colors. As with any shiny surface, glare can become a problem in well-lit areas, but it can help create the most visually stunning image.
Matte finish can help reduce the "glare" from lighting, but will not produce a piece with as much "pop."
